Urban Farming Workshop : This workshop will teach DCers how to grow their own food in the city, take advantage of community gardens and farmers markets, and eat local. Come out for tips or to learn more about urban farming.

Tracking Progress Toward Financial Access : This event, hosted by the New America Foundation, will look at the data on financial inclusion in Kenya, covering everything from traditional banks to microfinance institutions to mobile money’s impact on access. Our partners MIX Market will be there to talk about the latest microfinance data, including data visualizations like this one of South Africa.

HackEDU Happy Hour : Do you work in education, or are you interested in bringing smarter technology to the space? Come out to this social event to meet other people working to improve education through better use of technology.

Women Who Tech Cocktail Party : Come out for drinks and conversation with other ladies working in technology. This network spans across many technology fields and is a great resource for making new friends and connections between women working in technology.
