Violeta is an Operations & Events Coordinator at Development Seed, supporting the Lisbon office and contributing to internal and external events and initiatives across the company. She brings a varied background in operations, events, entrepreneurship, travel, and retail, with a common thread throughout: bringing people together and making things happen.
Before joining Development Seed, she worked in executive support and operations, coordinating day-to-day administration, projects, events, travel and logistics, vendors, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives. She has also founded and run a handmade accessories brand, co-owned an event space, worked in retail management in London, and spent several years as a tour operator and tour leader organizing trips across Asia, Africa, North and South America, and Oceania. She holds an MSc in Management from Nova School of Business & Economics in Lisbon and a BSc in Economics and Management in Arts & Culture from Bocconi University in Milan.
She enjoys figuring out how to turn a lot of moving pieces into something that works, especially when it comes to events. There’s something particularly satisfying about working through all the details behind the scenes and then seeing everything come together in real life. Outside of work, she enjoys sports in general and tennis in particular — a recently rediscovered obsession — as well as Latin dancing and reading autobiographies.
