Nick is a GIS developer and remote sensing specialist. Nick applies geospatial tools to solve global development challenges and believes that open source tech and open data are the future of geographic science. At Development Seed, he works on satellite procedures, imagery science, and process automation.
Before Development Seed, Nick was responsible for product and procedure development in broad-area mapping and change detection remote sensing projects. He has experience in a holistic geospatial production lifecycle with an emphasis on scripting and process automation.
Nick earned a Bachelor's degree in Geography and a Master's degree in Geographic Information Science from Clark University, where he spent several years contributing to the development of a productive forest monitoring fellowship.
