Mark is a cloud engineer at Development Seed. He works with the Earth Data team and builds core infrastructure for Cumulus, which helps to better leverage cloud computing for data processing, storage, and retrieval of NASA's Earth observation data. Mark is passionate about problem-solving and loves building high-quality digital solutions that advance the public good.
He is a trained backend engineer with experience in data architecture, identity management/SSO, and API development. In prior roles, Mark built a revamped system to track humanitarian funding for UN OCHA, built identity management systems and architecture of a new patient portal for the largest healthcare system in NY, and re-built the NBA's website.
Mark is a local to the DC region and holds a B.S. in Decision and System Sciences from Saint Joseph's University and a M.A. in International Relations and Economics from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
