Lauren Jacobson

Lauren Jacobson is a Development Seed alum.



Lauren is a geographer and an open data advocate. She is a community builder and is actively involved in the open mapping and women in tech communities. Lauren serves on the leadership team of Women Who Code DC and presents at Meetup events and hackathons. She is a passionate problem solver, interested in issues including woman rights, closing the gender gap in tech, and disaster preparedness.

From 2012-2013, Lauren served as a Fulbright Fellow in Banjarmasin, Kalimantan Selatan, Indonesia where she taught English to 150 energetic high school students. She is always up for a run or a chat about her beloved Cleveland sports teams.

Lauren is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and Spanish. She graduated with degrees in Geography and International Affairs from the George Washington University.
