Karito is part of the Data Team at Development Seed. She has more than 3 years of experience working on adding and improving OpenStreetMap data from satellite imagery.

Before joining Development Seed, she was a data analyst at Mapbox, where she worked on humanitarian mapping projects around the world. Along with her colleagues, she supported the growth of the OpenStreetMap community in Peru through workshops aimed at universities, institutions and the general public interested in cartography and open source. She studied Systems Engineering at San Cristobal University in Ayacucho, and she worked with the Peruvian census.
