Jeevan is a software engineer at Development Seed. He specializes in building high performance and custom applications to visualize and analyze geospatial data. His tools have supported research in urban studies, journalism, and natural science, as well as helping document spatial, social, and environmental changes in urban areas. He is passionate about open source development, internet privacy, and freedom of information.

Prior to joining Development Seed, Jeevan worked as a researcher at SITU and as a developer with the Center for Spatial Research. His work has focused on spatial analysis, inequality, and injustice.

Jeevan graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Computer Science and History. He is also a designer and musician.
