
Brendan is a backend engineer at Development Seed working primarily on NASA’s Commercial Satellite Data Acquisition (CSDA) project. He focuses on geospatial and Earth observation data, building open-source, cloud-native services that make data easier to access and use. Previously, Brendan worked at Impact Observatory, where he built and maintained the services powering their satellite imagery processing platform. Before that, he was a contractor at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center supporting the development and maintenance of the Land Information System, a high-performance framework for hydrological modeling and data assimilation.
Brendan has a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Policy from George Mason University. He enjoys cooking, traveling, camping, bar trivia, learning new technologies, and spending time with his wife and their dogs.
