We're excited to share our work and connect with other cloud-native enthusiasts this year. Read below for all the sessions you'll find us and grab some swag!

We’re heading to the Cloud-Native Geospatial (CNG) Conference, and we couldn’t be more excited to join the vibrant community pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in geospatial technology.
From plenary sessions that set the stage to deep dives into technology, our team members are excited to join conversations and reflect where the cloud-native geospatial ecosystem is today and where it needs to go next. We'll also be bringing along some of our zines and a fresh batch of t-shirts to share!
Where You'll Find Us
Plenary talks and track introductions
The CNG Conference opens with a framing plenary to set the stage for its three core tracks, each tackling a crucial dimension of the cloud-native geospatial movement. Aimee Barciauskas and Brianna Pagán are leading two of these tracks, to help set the scene for the sessions to follow on practical, scalable, and equitable geospatial systems.
Aimee will highlight the real-world applications and toolchains powering this track—from STAC and COGs to cloud-optimized vector formats—and call on the community to build toward faster insight, not just more access. Brianna will frame the conversations around trust, provenance, data value, and workforce development. Her remarks will underscore the importance of designing geospatial systems that are reliable, equitable, and built to last.
Cloud-Native Innovations 2: New Ideas
Pete joins a fantastic lineup in a session diving deep into cloud-native formats and STAC’s evolving role. Talks from CarbonPlan, Element 84, and Camptocamp will explore new workflows with GeoParquet, STAC-Zarr integration, and webmapping strategies.
Cloud-Native Innovations 3: Performance and Scale
In a session focused on scaling cloud-native geospatial systems, Kyle will introduce obstore, a high-performance Python library powered by Rust that simplifies and accelerates object storage across S3, GCS, and Azure. He’ll be joined by speakers from USGS and ReGrow, who will examine Zarr trade studies and the scalability of COGs. This is the session to attend if you're building cloud pipelines and tired of brittle storage hacks.
Panel Discussion: Geospatial and Disaster Response
Following talks by Cristiano Giovando (HOT) and Duk-jin Kim, Brianna will help lead a community discussion about how we can better use geospatial systems to support disaster response—highlighting lessons from real-world deployments and emphasizing collaboration across sectors.
Come Say Hi
We’ll also be hanging out in the hallway track, sharing zines, handing out t-shirts, and always happy to talk about where the geospatial ecosystem goes next.
If you see two more members of our crew attending, Sean Harkins or Ali Ziel, make sure to say hello. Whether you’re a STAC enthusiast, a storage tinkerer, or just curious about cloud-native tools, we’d love to connect.

What we're doing.
