Jonathan supports operations and accounting at Development Seed, where he provides administrative, financial, and facilities assistance while based in our Washington, DC, headquarters. As a creative yet process-oriented person, Jonathan balances distinctiveness and standardization, striving for efficiency while fostering an enjoyable work environment.

Our Operations team is super excited to have Jonathan on board to help us document our processes and make our handbook a more digestible resource for the team. His assistance in bringing further insight into our financial analysis and processes has already proved valuable. Jonathan is our go-to at the DC office, ensuring everything is in working order and ensuring that any team members working from our DC location, whether their regular work location or they are there briefly for a conference or team meeting.

Previously, Jonathan led the McGill Management Undergraduate Society through the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic, where he implemented new financial policies, amended the society’s governance documents, and represented management students. Before Development Seed, Jonathan worked at a Human-Centered-Design firm where he assisted with business development initiatives and managed the firm’s CRM system.

Jonathan was born and raised in Houston, Texas but traversed north to graduate from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where he received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Managing for Sustainability. After relocating to Washington, DC, he briefly worked as a tour guide on the National Mall. Jonathan enjoys watching sports at the local pub, reading, attending concerts, or playing turn-based video games during his downtime. Jonathan’s favorite thing is to travel, and he has enjoyed visiting countries such as Thailand, Colombia, and Vietnam.
