We're excited to have two DevSeed team members participating at the AGU Fall Meeting, taking place in Chicago, USA - and online - this week.
Machine Learning Engineer Lilly Thomas will be presenting her work from our partnership with NASA IMPACT using supervised semantic segmentation leveraging a convolutional neural network architecture to train a model with labels from NASA Operation IceBridge to predict supraglacial lakes occurrences in high temporal resolution PlanetScope imagery. Thursday, 15 December, 13:35 (Central time).
You'll also find Lilly chairing two panel sessions:
- Addressing Environmental Challenges and Sustainable Development Through Earth Science Applications Utilizing Machine Learning. Monday 12 December, 09:00 - 18:15 (Central time).
- Leveraging Open Artificial Intelligence and Unsupervised Learning Techniques for Advancements in Earth Science, Including Sustainable Development Goals. Friday 16 December, 16:45 (Central time).
You'll find Data Engineer Aimee Barciauskas all over the place, convening multiple in-person and online sessions focusing on several of our NASA IMPACT partnership projects such as MAAP and VEDA. All the places you can find Aimee:
- Empowering Open Science Collaboration by Leveraging Spatial Data Infrastructure and Open Data I - Online Poster Discussion. Thursday, 15 December, 08:00 (Central time)
- Empowering Open Science Collaboration by Leveraging Spatial Data Infrastructure and Open Data II - In Person Poster. Thursday, 15 December 09:00 (Central time)
