Welcome, Jonas Sølvsteen, product manager, to the team!

Joining the growing team of product managers at Development Seed, Jonas will help us scale our impact on environmental and social sustainability. Product managers have become critical to our project success, leading teams in building great products for our clients. Our product managers orchestrate user-centric, impact-driven projects, cultivate relationships with project partners, enhance technical collaboration and ultimately ensure that we are creating products with the greatest value and impact possible. We are thrilled to have Jonas on board to lend his expertise.

Jonas brings a unique blend of technical knowledge, scientific experience, and product management skills. His experience positions him perfectly to lead product development for important data products with our partners. Jonas will be involved with the Visualization, Exploration, and Data Analysis (VEDA) platform currently being developed by NASA IMPACT. This platform will help scientists develop and share new data products to inform important environmental and social causes.

Before joining Development Seed, Jonas led a technology segment at DHI, a global advisory company for water environments, He leveraged Earth observations, machine learning, and modeling to provide environmental monitoring and decision support for the European Space Agency (ESA), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Danish Agricultural Agency, and many other public and private clients.

A father of three, Jonas enjoys sharing his passion for the outdoors and sports with his family, sailing on a nearby lake, cycling, tree climbing, or exploring the local nature.
