We’re growing, and looking for another developer to join our team and help us build the next generation of open data sites. In the last year, our projects have ranged from visualizing $5.8 million of funding from UNDP to building the front-end educational section for new healthcare.gov to building open source tools like Prose.io that make content management easier.
You’ll be working with a tight team of driven designers, developers, and strategists making maps, building tight workflows for our apps, and telling compelling stories with data. We are a team with diverse backgrounds made up of architects, teachers, and public health researchers. We’re looking for an excellent communicator with the same drive to learn, share, and do what it takes to get the job done.
Qualities we’re looking for:
Design. You can prototype quickly with more than just color: blue;
and know when to implement the right colors, shapes, font sizes with the right data.
Data. Experience writing scripts to liberate and clean data.
Code. You love coding. You don’t have to be a full-time programmer currently but you will become one at Development Seed.
Self-motivated. You’ll be surrounded by teammates that take commander’s intent and run with it. You determine what needs to happen to get the job done.
