Spring has hit Washington, DC with temperatures in the 70s all week. But if you can pull yourself inside, there are some good technology events scheduled. Below is our roundup for the week, and you can find a full calendar at DC Tech Events.
Tuesday, March 13
6:00–8:00 pm
DC Women in GIS : This group brings together women working in GIS and mapping technologies from across the DC region. The inaugural meetup drew a good and energetic crowd — it will be fun to see how this group grows with the geo explosion happening now in the city.
7:00 pm
Pair Programming : Want to hack on a problem with the help of another programmer? Come out to this meetup ready to program with a partner.
Wednesday, March 14
6:30–8:30 pm
Legal Issues for Founders : Legal missteps can cause some of the biggest headaches for entrepreneurs. In this event, a VC and startup lawyer will discuss the biggest issues to look for and be sure to nail from the start.
8:30 pm — 3:00 am
DC Nightowls : Bring a laptop and be ready to get to work with others into the night. Introductions will give you a chance to get to know other folks and become familiar with their projects, and of course to see if there’s overlap and possibilities for collaboration.
