Thanksgiving is right around the corner! As usual the short week means a quiet week, with many people heading out of town to celebrate the holiday. Below is a recap a technology event scheduled that caught our eye, as well as a worthwhile pre-dinner event happening on Thanksgiving day for those staying in town. Have a great holiday week!

Choose Your Own Adventure : This is a choose your own adventure presentation — technology style. Adam Jacob from Opscode will talk for five minutes about topics like infrastructure automation, cloud computing, NoSQL, building open source communities and funding a start up, with the audience shouting out questions and new topics to move on to throughout.

Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger : With homelessness and hunger rising in the Washington, DC area, So Others Might Eat is helping feed the hungry and help them stay healthy and get back on their feet. If you’re in town, why not help out by running a 5k and raising money for their work.
