DCWeek — the week long technology festival and community conference — is in full swing and has organized and sparked a ton of events, parties, art installations, panel discussions, and trainings happening throughout the city. Monday, November 7

6:00 pm — late

DC Tech Foosball Shootout : We’re hosting a foosball tournament and party tonight in the Development Seed garage! Find a teammate, rsvp, and battle for the glory and the trophy. We’ll also have beer, pizza, ping pong, and t-shirts. Hope to see you there.

Tuesday, November 8

7:00 pm

NetSquared: Hot Tech Trends: Looking Back at 2011 and Ahead at 2012 : In this meetup, folks from Epolitics.com, the Travel Channel, Ashoka Changemakers, and iStrategy Labs will talk about what they see as the year’s hottest tech trends and discuss what’s next on the horizon.

Wednesday, November 9

6:00–9:00 pm

DCWEEK 2011 Keynotes : In one of the more corporate focused events of DC Week, the keynote sessions will include talks from AT&T Labs, Ford, and Intel Labs, among others, as well as an intro from DC Mayor Vincent Gray and a presentation from Post Secret creator Frank Warren.

Thursday, November 10

11:00 am — Noon

Open Source and Open Data : This panel discussion on open data will look at what strategies can be used at the federal level to get out more — and more usable — open data. Alex will discuss our approach to open data, along with Haley Van Dyck from USAID who will share our work together mapping the famine in the Horn of Africa, Jeff Walpole from Phase2 Technology, and Tom Lee from Sunlight Labs.

Friday, November 11

8:00–11:30 pm

DC Week Closing Party : The very last event of DC Week will fittingly be a party. We will be there to help with the community showcase of the nonprofit A Wider Circle, who we worked with to map its operations collecting furniture donations and distributing them to people transitioning from shelters in Washington, DC. The showcase will be similar to the one we did together at the National Building Museum for the 24 Hour City Project.
