NetSquared DC Extreme Makeover : At this month’s makeover, NetSquared will host Reconnecting The Circle, a campaign aiming to reduce Native American teen suicide and discuss ways to improve the strategy to their online campaign so they can reach more teens more effectively. Come out and contribute.

Wednesday, August 17

Web Mavens Happy Hour : Want to meet developers, designers, data folks, and other people with a tech bent over some casual beers? Check out this happy hours hosted by the Web Mavens.

6:30–8:30 pm

DC Web Women: No More Boring Charts! Or Data Visualizations : Good data visualizations help communicate complex data and stories quickly and easily, and when done well let people explore and better understand the situation behind the data. This event will host presentations from three tech and PR agencies on how to make gorgeous and effective data visualizations.

Nerd Nite: Beer Week : Nerd Nite will be celebrating DC Beer Week with talks from the folks behind DC Brau, the city’s only locally brewed beer, and Churchkey, home to one of the largest selections of beers in town. Like to be knowledgable about your drink? Check out this event at the Red Palace.
