It’s hard to believe it’s the last week in July already. Well, until you walk outside into the humid weather we had been lucky to avoid for most of the summer so far. Things are starting to slow down in the city, but there are some interesting technology events happening in Washington, DC this week. Below are a few that caught our eye, and you can find a full list of the week’s events at “DC Tech Events”:http://www.dctechevents.com/.
Also, while it’s not happening in DC, there’s a great event for Drupal developers this week. “DrupalCamp is going to Philadelphia”:http://www.drupaldelphia.com/ on Friday — just a two hour train ride away!
Tuesday, July 28
“DCPHP Beverage Subgroup”:http://www.php.net/cal.php?id=3075&cm=07&cy=2009: If you’re a PHP developer, this one is for you. Come out for this meetup to get to know other PHP developers and talk about code over a couple cold beers.
Wednesday, July 29
“Social Media Club DC”:http://smcdcjuly.eventbrite.com/ Instead of a formal event this month, the Social Media Club is hosting a happy hour. This should be a great opportunity to find out the latest happenings in social media and meet the club’s new leadership team.
Friday, July 31 — Saturday, August 1
6:00 pm, All day Saturday
“iPhoneDevCampDC”:http://iphonedevcampdc.eventbrite.com/: This unconference will bring together local iPhone developers to share information and tricks in building awesome apps for the the iPhone. If you build apps or want to, come on out and consider leading a session on the technologies you’re working with.
Have a great week!
