Happy belated Memorial Day! We hope everyone went to at least one fantastic barbecue over the weekend. With the short week, it’s a quiet week for technology events. Here are a few that caught our eye, and you can see a full listing of events at “DC Tech Events”:http://www.dctechevents.com/.

Tuesday, May 26

6:00–8:00 pm

“DCPHP Beverage Subgroup”:http://www.php.net/cal.php?id=3075&cm=05&cy=2009: If you’re a PHP developer looking for a casual way to meet others coding in your language, come out for this happy hour to talk programming over beers.

6:00–8:30 pm

“Nerds and Wonks in NW”:http://www.eventbrite.com/event/346826367: They call it as it is with this meetup. At this event, nerds and wonks working with health and government technologies will get together to talk about health care reform and how technology should be integrated into it.

Thursday, May 28

6:00–9:00 pm

“Twin Tech IV”:http://twintech4.eventbrite.com/: The Twin Tech events are always the largest tech-centric happy hours happening in town, and this one is no exception with 800 people signed up to attend. If you want to meet people working in all areas of tech and venture business, come out for this happy hour.

Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31

9:00 am — 5:00 pm

“VoCampDCMay2009”:http://vocamp.org/wiki/VoCampDCMay2009: At this BarCamp style event, people will be getting together to hack on new vocabularies for the semantic web, with the overall goal over creating more vocabs that are good enough for people to start using to publish data online. Come out to help deepen the semantic web.

Have a great week!
