Marc Farra



Marc is a tinkerer for good. He loves taking things apart and putting them back together better. Marc enjoys introducing people to open data and teaching people to Make. He is a community organizer that has co-founded initiatives like Lamba Labs – Lebanon’s first makerspace – as well as OpenMapLebanon, a humanitarian support community in the wake of the Beirut explosion.

At Development Seed, Marc builds tools for visualizing and analyzing OpenStreetMap data. He’s worked in computer vision, information design, and managing real-time sensor data. You will find Marc at OpenStreetMap conferences sharing his passion for OSM and improving the tools for the mapping community.

Marc holds a BE in Computer and Telecommunications Engineering from the American University of Beirut. He is fluent in Arabic, French and English.
