Ciaran is a cloud engineer at Development Seed. He is passionate about developing serverless tools and environments for use with global sized datasets, enabling people to produce insights from Earth Observation data. He also loves supporting teams in helping them to adopt appropriate methodologies, Test Driven Development, and automating their development workflows.

A returner to Development Seed, Ciaran has spent the last few years dabbling in startups building travel APIs, SRE tooling, and automating Right To Work checks for the UK and US.

Ciaran previously worked at UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO) as a Data Engineer, where he produced serverless data pipelines that used deep learning models to perform inferences at a global scale.

Outside of work, you can find him ‘kitbashing’ models in his garden shed, taking trips to the aquarium with his son, and daydreaming about running a hotdog van 🌭.
