Real-time composite reflectivity (FH0)
This application allows you to browse real-time composite reflectivity and near-surface smoke data from the NOAA High-Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR) weather model.
The HRRR is a real-time 3km resolution, hourly updated atmospheric model operated by NOAA. This browser displays the "FH0" (forecast hour zero) data, which represents the atmospheric conditions at the time that the model run was initiated (not a forecast).
There is a 1-2 hour lag between when the model run begins to when the data are available in cloud storage, so the latest available image may be a few hours old.
Reflectivity values are shown with colors ranging from light blue (weak returns) to purple (extreme precipitation).
Smoke mass density values are shown with values ranging from light blue (low smoke concentration) to purple (extreme smoke concentration).
Data is sourced from NOAA's public S3 bucket and rendered using TiTiler.
