It's the first full week of summer, and in Washington, DC that means the start of summer concert series, outdoor movies, and as usual, several interesting technology events. Below is our roundup of the tech events happening this week, and you can find a full list at DC Tech Events.

Tuesday, June 28

6:00 pm

Hacker News Happy Hour and Book Trade: This event will bring together readers of Hacker News to connect, talk about technology and startups, demo projects, and trade technology books. If you're into Hacker News and the topics covered there, this will be of interest to you.

7:00 - 9:00 pm

Geo Meetup: Into maps, GIS, and other geo-technology? Come out to this meetup to connect with likeminded people and discuss how to move forward with regular meetups and get togethers. We'll be there talking about some of our latest mapping work and ideas for future meetups.

Wednesday, June 29

5:30 pm

Drupal Progressives Meetup: Want to talk Drupal with progressive folks? Come out for this event to share your own knowledge of Drupal and learn from others.

7:30 pm

Collaborative Zinemaking Party: Want to contribute to a zine about Washington, DC? HacDC is hosting this zinemaking party where folks will bring out the paper, markers, glue, and scissors to make a collaborative zine about our city.
