Last Saturday I attended DrupalCamp Peru where I presented on “How to Build a Feature for Open Atrium.” In this talk I emphasized how the framework provided by Open Atrium helps run Features and the benefits it can provide, and also showed how to build a Feature.

There was a lot of interest in the topic and I was asked questions ranging from whether you can use features to export definitions and configuration without Open Atrium (yes) to what exactly makes a feature a feature. To answer that question, I pointed people to a first version requirements and recommendations specification that Young put together on building a feature, which is included in the Kit project.
There were about 10 presentations total that covered topics from how to build your first Drupal module to implementing Scrum) and CMMI. This was the third DrupalCamp to be held in Peru, and it showed that the community continues to grow with more than 100 people coming out for this Camp. You can check out more photos of the event online.
