Wingipedia Wednesday, Spring Chicken Edition: Like wings, beer, and good conversation ranging from tech topics to the more general? Come out for Wingipedia Wednesday. The group is meeting at the Greene Turtle at 8:30 for 50 wing party platters.

Technology Salon: How to Create Private Sector Alliances with USAID: Interested in learning more about Global Development Alliances (GDA’s) or about working with USAID? This Technology Salon will explain what GDA’s are and the strategy behind them and answer questions.

Sunlight Foundation’s Tax Day Fundraiser: Part of its Public=Online Campaign, the Sunlight Foundation is throwing a fundraising party to raise support and dollars for its open government initiatives and “so that this time next year when we file our returns we may get a receipt for our tax dollars.”

Yahoo! Developer Network Workshops: This Friday Yahoo! is giving two free workshops: one on YUI 3, the current generation of the open source YUI library, and one on Yahoo Query Language (YQL), a powerful SQL-like language that allows you to query data from web pages and web services.

iPadDevCamp DC: It certainly didn’t take long for there to be an iPadDevCamp for the week old iPad. This weekend’s camp is your chance to meet and share information with other iPad, iPhone, iPod, and other Apple product developers and is a satellite event for the iPadDevCamp happening in San Jose and at other locations around the world.
Saturday, April 17

PrivacyCampDC: This one day unconference will bring together researchers, developers, practitioners, and others to talk about electronic privacy and government policy, with the goal to share knowledge and better collaborate.

ParticipationCamp: This two-day unconference aims to help increase public participation in the government by connecting government managers and staff, developers who work on collaborative tools, and people so they can talk about what they all need to help people constructively get involved.
