Most of us are back to work now, and the good news is that there are quite a few interesting technology events happening this week. Wednesday, December 2

8:00 - 10:30 am

TECHknowledge Speaker Series: Chris Hughes: In this morning session, Chris Hughes - the co-founder of Facebok and developer of My.BarackObama.com - will talk about his experience working with technologies that make social communication and political organizing easier and more efficient.

6:00 pm

PHP Beverage Subgroup: Want to talk about php with other coders? Come out for this event to do so over a few beers.

6:30 pm

Northern Virginia Drupal Meetup: Come out to talk about Drupal with other developers and learn more about what’s being built with a leading open source development platform.

Thursday, December 3

6:30 - 9:30 pm

TECH Cocktail 7: This is always one of the biggest technology parties out there. If you want to meet people working in all different areas of the tech field in Washington, DC, and a lot of them, you’ll want to come out for this event.

7:00 - 9:30

Maryland Drupal Meetup: Two Drupal meetups in one week! We love to see the local Drupal community grow like this. This meetup will take place in Columbia, MD, so stop by if that location is convenient for you.

Saturday, December 5

8:30 am - 5:30 pm

The Conscience Unconference: This one day unconference will bring together people working at museums and universities to discuss how they can best use social media to promote their exhibits and educational activities.
