The Rise of Online Independent Media: This month's Internet Advocacy Roundtable will look at citizen bloggers and discuss whether they can full the role of watchdog that many feel mainstream media has abandoned, or if the costs and limited access will prevent that from happening on a large scale.

HacDC's Grand Opening: HacDC is finally throwing their grand opening party. Stop by in the afternoon to wonder at the various projects they've got in the works and stay for a reception at 8:00 pm.
